CEO of Monty's Bakehouse goes on the run!

We are proud to be supporting our CEO Matt Crane as he trains hard for this year’s London marathon to raise funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.

Matt is using the Surrey countryside surrounding our purpose built offices at Priory Farm in South Nutfield to train for the gruelling 26 mile course which takes place on April 23rd 2017.

Matt’s father David sadly passed away in 2012 after a brief fight against Pancreatic Cancer.

“Before he died he asked that we continue to support The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund (PCRF) run by Maggie Blanks who has raised over £6,000,000 to fund research into a devastating disease where so little is understood and a diagnosis often comes far too late,” says Matt, whose father’s motto ‘Work hard play hard’ is framed and mounted at the office entrance.

“My father was in touch with PCRF and believed in their work. He asked us to support to them, and we got to know Maggie and found her story inspirational. This is dedicated to them both.”

Matt is working hard towards a £10,000 target which will go towards supporting the invaluable work of Maggie and her team at PCRF and to help him reach his goal, all of us at Monty's Bakehouse are holding a cake sale at our offices here at Orchard Barn on the 12th April between 11am - 2pm. Everyone is welcome and we'd love to see you there - your support can really make a difference.
